Video marketing is a potent tool for personal trainers. In some recent posts we've looked at creating your workout videos, and revealed some of the best video editing software out there.

One thing that we see a lot of fitness experts on Instagram do, is setting up their own YouTube channels. This is a great way to reach people worldwide, drive traffic to your website, and boost your revenue. Keep in mind that this is simply a marketing channel so creating your own popular YouTube channel should direct people to your website where you sell packages that include structure, coaching, support, and results. This is how you turn free videos in to a successful business and a platform that transforms lives.

Here we take a look at 15 of the best fitness YouTubers to provide you with some ideas and inspiration.

Chloe has an excellent reputation for her free challenges and workout programmes that have helped transform bodies worldwide. You can also train specific parts of your body by following her videos, be it shoulders or legs. Her channel is a great place to start for inspiration for your own YouTube channel.

Known as the go-to YouTube channel for anyone interested in yoga, Adriene has an excellent reputation in the industry.

Created by Kelli Segars and Daniel Segars, a married couple of fitness fanatics, FitnessBlender provides hundreds of free videos for people looking to train from home. Most of their videos are between 5 and 45 minutes long, designed to give viewers a fast and intense workout.

There are many high-reward, high-energy challenges and workouts on their channel. The transparency of the playlists comes across, which is why this pair features so highly on our list of top fitness YouTubers.

#5. Pamela Reif

One thing to get straight before we start talking about Pamela's YouTube channel is that she is not a qualified personal trainer. However, she started making YouTube videos at age 16, and over the past eight years, she has gained an enormous following on the channel.

Beginners looking for simple movements can benefit from Pamela's YouTube channel to understand their bodies and follow instructions. Imagine what you could achieve with your insight and experience. Consistency is critical with social media, and posting daily as Pamela does is an excellent way of keeping the audience engaged.

Pamela does a good job of showing the workout goal and how long it will take to perform in the thumbnail of each video, this is a great way to help viewers find the exact workout they're looking for.

#6. POPSUGAR Fitness

www.youtube.com/user/popsugartvfit

You may have heard of the POPSUGAR magazine, and POPSUGAR Fitness Channel is simply an extension of that. While they may have pretty backgrounds and a lot of pink in the videos, the content is high quality.

Unlike the other channels we have mentioned so far, POPSUGAR Fitness features videos from a wide range of personal trainers. There are workouts for everyone from yoga and low-impact barre to kickboxing and dance. Rather than focusing on body transformations, POPSUGAR Fitness is more about leading a healthy lifestyle.

#7. Blogilates – Cassey Ho

www.youtube.com/user/blogilates

Next, we have Cassey Ho, who specialises in Bootcamp sculpting, PIIT28, and POP Pilates. Her workouts are creative and fun, and her friendly personality and sense of humour certainly engages the audience.

Her consistent posting schedule is something that all personal trainers can employ for their channel. She posts schedules monthly to suit various goals. The videos she releases target all of the muscle groups in your body as well. Some of them can be highly specific; others can be more general. There is something for everyone.

#8. MadFit – Maddie Lymburner

Another fitness influencer that is certainly worth a mention is Maddie Lymburner. She is known for her muscle-toning and energetic workouts, which are done to popular chart songs.

While they are fun and modern, the workouts are hard work. If you would rather be dancing during your exercise sessions than hitting the treadmill for an hour, Maddie's channel is a great choice.

Aside from her song workouts, she also has yoga sessions, and most of her videos do not require any equipment while also being apartment friendly.

#9. XHIT Daily

www.youtube.com/user/XFitDaily

For high-intensity workouts that deliver significant results in a short space of time, this is the channel for you. We're all time poor today, so we want to achieve more for less, and that's what XHIT Daily is all about.

One of the clever things that this channel does is use celebrities to inspire their content, for example, the J.Lo Booty Workout or the Jennifer Lawrence leg workout. Much like Pamela Reif XHIT does a good job of showing the workout goal and how long it will take to perform in the thumbnail of each video

#10. The Fitness Marshall – Caleb Marshall

www.youtube.com/user/TheFitnessMarshall/featured

The Fitness Marshall is a channel for people who are more laidback in their approach to fitness and are looking for something not too serious. This high-energy channel is all about making sure that cardio is fun!

The choreography is exuberant, and like some other channels, popular chart songs are used to keep everyone happy! In fact, Caleb Marshall experienced a massive surge in popularity after creating a dance workout to the song "Me Too" by Meghan Trainor in 2016.

#11. Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home

www.youtube.com/user/walkathomemedia

We all want to ensure that we get our daily steps in, but it can be a lot easier said than done. This is why Leslie Sansone's channel is such a great one. You can complete your daily goals without needing any equipment.

Her videos are categorised by muscle groups targeted, distance walked, and workout length. This is an excellent way of getting those steps in without having to go on a long walk. A fantastic idea to target people who, for any reason, don't leave their home very often but still want to get some aerobic activity in their life.

#12. The Body Coach – Joe Wicks

www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1

Joe Wicks has a pleasant, friendly, and laid-back demeanour, yet his exercises certainly aren't for the faint-hearted. Your blood will be pumping in no time!

The fitness influencer has a reputation for his Lean in 15 recipe books and offering PE with Joe on his YouTube channel throughout lockdown. Many personal trainers don't particularly like Joe Wicks, but they cannot deny that his marketing is bang on, including his YouTube Channel. So, ultimately you can learn from him too.

#13. Scott Herman Fitness

www.youtube.com/channel/UCEtMRF1ywKMc4sf3EXYyDzw

Having first posted a video on YouTube in June 2009, Scott was one of the first mainstream fitness influencers on YouTube. Since he started so early, he has a massive range of videos, with over 1,000 for viewers to check out.

There's also some great content on his website about debunking common training myths and providing some helpful training tips. Online personal trainers who are just starting might also find his exercise demo videos inspiring to learn how to shoot a demo video.

#14. Joanna Soh Official

www.youtube.com/user/joannasohofficial

Joanna Soh has heaps of experience, and her channel is only increasing in popularity. She has different playlists for different types of content. So, you will find the likes of eight-week programmes, crazy workout challenges, no equipment workouts, and low-impact workouts.

When people complete one of her workouts, they know they will target muscle groups appropriately and understand precisely what this will do for their bodies. There is also a section dedicated to nutritional information for vegetarians and vegans.

#15. MattDoesFitness – Matt Morsia

www.youtube.com/user/MattDoesFitness

Matt is currently one of the biggest male fitness influencers in the UK, and his channel has grown a lot over the past year and has over 2 million subscribers.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are some great YouTube fitness channels out there at the moment. We hope the fitness influencers we've mentioned above give you some inspiration if you're interested in creating your own YouTube channel or you already have one, and you're looking for ways to engage with more people and make an impact.

While these channels are great we know from our members experiences that some popular fitness YouTube channels make a great income while other don't. So be sure to have a goal that benefits your business and life when working on your YouTube channel. Generally the ones that make a good income from their channel are those that sell packages which include structure, coaching, help with adherence, support (often in a group) and results. This is how you separate your paid packages from your free videos and is a very important step if you wish to make an income from your online coaching.
